I was going hard at karaoke a couple of years ago and i dislocated my hip (LOL) most painful experience. There was a man at the bar who watched me hobble over and he told me “I can help you put that back in place” me immediately thinking he was insinuating something gross he just looked at me with kind eyes and said “no I’m so sorry. I’m a dad and an orthopedic surgeon” I was like “NO WAY you are” I made this kind older man pull up his license on the Michigan licensing site and verify it with his drivers license too, and after cussing him out he popped my hip right back in to place and then called an uber for me. The uber driver was also an older man and he carried me into my friends house when we got back. He said “I’m a dad, and a grandfather. I would do this for my daughter”. I think about that night a lot because my dad passed when I was 10. That night, I had two dads who healed something in me. There are really good men in the world 🥹❤️

Once I ran into a very scared, crying, half drunk girl who had been ditched outside of a club. I offered to drive her anywhere she needed to go but she was hesitant to get in a car with a stranger. I called and woke up one my (girl) friends who lived a few blocks from there and made her ride with us in her PJs so she would feel safe on the ride home. I had nearly forgotten about it and this pulled that memory back up instantly. 😂

One time I was picking up food from my local bar and there was a girl crying sitting on the steps outside when I was leaving. I offered to give her a ride wherever she needed to go and she was unsure until I called my wife and she talked with her on the phone, they chatted the entire way to her house 😂 Then I went home and my wife and I ate our bar food. Now she is friends with my wife and I have driven them both back from the bar multiple times 😂😂😂

We accepted a ride from a man once for $20 when there was no cabs available. Nice guy, drove us home. Found out the next day it was a STOLEN car and he was the thief 😭😭 he was telling my husband how good it handled in the snow with the new winter tires lmaooooo

my 22 year old college son was the DD one night and the next day calls to tell me "mom dont be mad but I also drove two drunk girls home and guess what happened?" all I could think was omg one threw up in his car! He said, "no, one girl left her phone and luckily I remembered where I dropped them off so I drove it over to her this afternoon. But it was kind of far so I used your card to get more gas. I'm sorry." I told that boy he could get as much gas on my card as he needed.

Did this on a night out. We arrived to my destination and he asked if he can touch me as soon as we parked outside of my house. I ran away so quick. Once I woke up I realized my phone was dead and that wasn’t an uber. A lesson was learned that night. 😭

One night I brought a drunk girl home with me because she couldn’t tell me where she lived (directions were weird) and she had just changed her phone password that day and forgot it. I could not have left her like that in a small city. I set her up on my couch, plugged her phone in, left water with a snack and a note. She was gone by the time I woke up and she wrote “thank you, you saved me” on the note 😭

i love this side of tiktok! I've never been brave enough to give any women rides home, but Ive replaced untold numbers of flats, and gotten stalled cars off the high way and onto shoulders. its not as funny, but it mattered to me.

When I was manic, similar thing happened to me. It was an older gentleman and he told me to be careful people aren’t nice and I shouldn’t be so drunk I don’t even know where I’m at. I remember sleeping on the back seat unable to see but I could hear him. Been medicated since then

I went up Pikes Peak with a random middle aged man from my Airbnb, he was so nice the whole day. When we got back I thanked him for taking me with and he goes “Of course. I have a daughter and I would want people to be nice to her and help her stay safe when she travels” 🥹 love u Jimmy xx

My ex threw me in an uber while I was drunk once and the uber driver was this older man who comforted me while i cried the whole way home. He walked me to my door and gave me the rose he had on his dashboard. I still think about him 😭

The night I got roofied I felt something off. I managed to call an uber and get in it. I passed out and woke up to the uber driver helping me unlock my door and carry me inside. I woke up the next morning on the floor in my kitchen thankful for him. He was clearly a dad just wanting me to be safe. I think the only reason he didn’t help me to my room was because he didn’t want to come inside and cross a line.

Shoetly after my SA, i was hanging with a different guy and we were in his dorm bed. He put his hand on my leg, and i moved it immediately. His response was to sit up and make sure i knew i could leave any time. His hand never went back to my leg. I was a bartender for years and had uber on my phone not really for myself but for any girl I saw in a bad situation at the end of the night. I would interrupt conversations to say do you know where your friends are? “No” I would then say honey do you want me to get you home safely in an uber? I’ve probably spent thousands of dollars of my own money to make sure they got home safely. Not only did I order the uber but I had them wait with me and walk them to the uber sternly telling them the situation. It always made my heart full when I would get a message back from the uber letting me know they were safe and inside their house (like I demanded to make sure they were inside, safe, and to let me know they let me know lol)
