Too much sitting back and letting KD work last year made the offense stagnant especially in the playoffs. KD is known for getting his 15 shots up and after that he’s not going for anything more. That’s the kryptonite of Kevin Durant, he’s the best scorer of all time yet the guy doesn’t EVER play like a killer. To win a ring sometimes you gotta take 20-30 shots bc your team needs it. You might have to ball hog and let the double teams that come to you be the way you create for your teammates. Kd is way too comfortable with saying “okay, I did my part, time to sit back and not shoot” which absolutely blows my mind. There was many games last year where if kd takes 5-7 more shots it’s a different ball game and a different season for Houston. If he doesn’t want too then the coach making it were the offense is gonna force the defense to stay home on KD but look for the other 4 to get the shot than good. Bc KD even if he complains about what option he is offensively, doesn’t have the first scorer mentality. And his reason is “defenses switch up on me” throughout each game but buddy that’s for EVERY great player. If you can’t handle the defense changing their scheme then how valuable is KD to a team anymore as a first option?

As much as I don’t like kd but he fits in well he don’t have the ball 24/7 he probably taking a shot every 1/3-4 touches I like what vanfleet on the court it seem like rockets not even playin Durant any attention which is what he need
