@troika2005: Miley Cyrus and her mom, Tish Cyrus-Purcell, are changing the landscape of Los Angeles’ Skid Row. By teaming up with the Downtown Women’s Center and gifting a historic $1 million donation through the Miley Cyrus Foundation, they are backing Rosa’s Place, a brand-new permanent housing development. Currently under construction, this incredible facility will create 97 supportive apartments designed specifically for women experiencing chronic homelessness and survivors of gender-based violence. But this isn't just about writing a check. Miley and Tish are getting hands-on with the creative direction, helping renovate community spaces and consulting on the interior design to ensure these units feel like real homes. For the women moving in, these apartments will be virtually free, funded by project-based government vouchers so no one is turned away for a lack of income. When it opens in Autumn 2027, Rosa's Place will nearly double the center's housing capacity, giving vulnerable women a safe, permanent sanctuary alongside free, on-site medical care and career training to rebuild their lives with dignity.
