@fresnosheriff: Around 1:30 pm, dispatchers with the Fresno County Sheriff’s Office received a call of a missing swimmer in Huntington Lake. A man and woman were swimming together and she made it safely back to shore, but he did not. Shortly after 2:00 pm, our helicopter, EAGLE One, flew over the lake and located a person submerged near the docks. Deputies in the helicopter guided a rescue swimmer with the Huntington Lake Volunteer Fire Department to the area. The rescuer retrieved the man from 15 feet down in the lake and brought him to shore. CPR was performed on the man and he was later pronounced deceased. He did not have a life jacket and was underwater for approximately one hour. The name of the man is not available for release at this time.
