Anything helps 🫶🏻 I am raising these funds for my mom, Silvia Isela Merida Cajas, who was detained by ICE on the afternoon of October 5, 2026, in Los Angeles, California, while attending her USCIS marriage interview with my dad. My mom is a devoted wife, a loving mother of three, and a proud grandmother. To anyone who has ever met her, she is one of the sweetest and most loving people you could ever know. She is the kind of woman who always puts others before herself, who gives without expecting anything in return, and who would do anything to help someone in need. She means the world to our family, and seeing her go through this has been heartbreaking. After being detained for 10 days, my mom was deported back to Guatemala on October 15, 2026. This sudden and unexpected separation has been incredibly difficult for our family emotionally and financially. In a matter of days, our lives changed completely, and we are now trying to navigate an overwhelming situation while adjusting to life without her here with us. We are asking for your support during this difficult time. Any donations received will help cover legal fees for her possible return to the United States. Our biggest wish is to have our family together again. We know that the road ahead will not be easy, but we are holding on to hope and doing everything we can to bring my mom back home.
