Had this happen to me with two white parents and a baby that I could tell was half-black. I tried…I really did try. But I saw the baby. I saw the skintone. I saw the nose. I looked at dad who was as pale as paper and did not have that nose. Then I looked at my own skin….and then at the mom…..I realized he did the same too….He left to “get food”. She pulls me aside and goes: “I cheated on him with a black guy…Do you think he noticed?” ….He noticed….he noticed so well, he did not come back to the hospital the rest of her stay.

I’ve had several deliveries where baby delivered it was obvious the husband was not the father—the quiet in the room when that happened always deafening and always felt sad for babies.
