its because games like bloodstained feel more like castlevania than this game

It has Graham McTavish voicing Dracula. I couldn’t be happier. [Teary eyed]

"It's a good game, but not a good ____ game" is such a tired phrase.

It’s really good for what it is. It’s no where near bad at all. The complaints come from the fact that it’s been 18 years since the last castlevania game and Belmont’s curse is really different compared to the last games. It’s definitely closer gameplay wise to dead cells and prince of Persia then the past castlevania games. I really like it though

Honestly game looks great my 1 issue. The time line, it took me so long to kinda understand it and they added a new Belmont again which at this point is getting a bit hard to understand including that some of these things aren’t in the same universe. Idk love the style love the look of the gameplay even the story seems interesting but geez I’m really starting to get lost on the story of this game. But as long as Dracula keeps coming back someone’s gotta keep fighting him

Have you played silver pines yet? It’s a genuine masterpiece. That’s what needs to be talked about

Nah idc. I’ve been playing CV since the 90s. This game is CV but evolved and old heads can’t deal with it. The lore is PHENOMENAL, the twist on who a certain NPC was actually made me tweak out. The game is insane. People need to grow up.

I played most of the 2D Castlevania games. And I played a lot of Dead Cells. This game is a good refresh. A couple more entries with this developer would be awesome.

Man, it ain’t bad… but it’s not good! Remind me more of prince of Persia than castlevania!

agreed but the performance on switch 2 is atrocious, 40€ for constant crashes and fps drops

It's a good game, it's a bad castlevania game. These two are not mutually exclusive
