I DNFed at like 80% bc i came to realize that the book is made of the same 3 scenes happening in a loop where little to nothing changes or happens. I guess it worked as a fanfic bc the author does nothing to build the world, the magic system nor the characters. they all have the same depth as a puddle. the romance (if it can be called that) is so bland that I felt absolutely nothing. the protagonist is supposed to be smart but she's more an overthinker which is not the same. the love interest? uninteresting. the villain? clearly lord voldemort. the other characters? could have been there or not, nothing changes, really. I tried, really, but since i: 1) don't really like Harry Potter, 2) don't really care about dramione and 3)don't enjoy wasting my time reading an (mind you) almost 1k pages disaster that could've been wrap-up in ike 300 pages... yeah. I'd watch that book burn for hours.

This is probably gonna be a very unpopular opinion, but more than half of that book could've been removed and it still would've been a good story. It just dragged in a lot of parts and was unnecessarily long.

Girly, I get you. I finished it but it took me months and many, many days of thinking "will it EVER get better?". It is just an okay book, definitely not worth all the hype. It is SLOW!

I don't think I could read Alchemized either. I read Manacled because I understood the context, the characters, and the reasons behind their actions, but reading something completely unknown with this premise, I don't think I would have even made it halfway through haha

Bought it and expected something better, I did not hate the writing style but the main charcter took her sacrifice to another level. I'd bolt once I see how my country starts genociding humans to replace them with walking corpses.
