@shelbyameye: I cannot explain to you how happy and relieved I am that my natural hair isn’t absolutely rekt 😭 I even got through the awkward phase of my highlight grow out without noticing thanks to my balayage ktips! no bleach, toner, or dye for 7 months, just 5 months of extensions and letting my natural hair do its thing! everyone warned me about breakage, thinning, traction alopecia, damage at the roots, and losing all my hair when I got them removed. so naturally I was terrified to see what was underneath. but my natural hair grew inches, retained its length, and looks healthier than I expected!! obviously extensions aren’t damage proof, and proper installation, maintenance, and removal matter SO much, but I’m genuinely so happy with how my hair held up. turns out giving my hair a break from chemical processing was one of the best things I could’ve done for it. and a break from heat! I hardly used any besides blow drying after a wash. my hair would stay straight in a pony, krimped by braids, or even curled from straight just with the overnight curl rods. so excited to start embracing my natural color at the roots while keeping some blonde dimension through the mids and ends. thinking a soft, lived-in balayage that grows out seamlessly without constant maintenance 🤍 oh and I’ll def be getting my inches back in a couple weeks 😜 #ktips #ktipextensions #keratinextensions #keratinbonds #extensions
