It is disgusting that this was ever a consideration. It breaks my heart that there are people who think any of this is a spectacle. The lack of humanity is just sad. 😢 We’ve learned nothing from history. It is so difficult to see hope in anything when this is our reality. They only called it off because of the backlash… you are absolutely right. The “lesson” is for us. They want us scared and compliant.
