@funwiththejohnsons: Hair in our house is a whole journey. Two kids. Different curls. Different needs. Different styles. And just when I think I’ve figured somebody’s hair out…we enter a new phase. We recently cut SJ’s hair even shorter and I still haven’t shared how emotional that was, but when we’re doing braids or any style that needs their curls stretched first, the @myrevair has become one of my favorite forms of HELP. I used it for both kids, especially before braiding, and now on myself because anything that makes hair day a little easier has a permanent place in this house. There’s so much history, care, conversation and love wrapped up in hair in the Black community. I want my babies to grow up knowing their hair is beautiful in every form, curls out, stretched, braided, cut, all of it. And Mama is just over here learning as we go.
