To sum it up for everyone, AI “detectors” can’t actually detect if something is genuinely written by an AI—or if it is actually written by a human. What an AI detector does is it looks for patterns (certain words, phrasing structure, punctuation, etc.) in a piece of writing and compares it to patterns that AI writings use to compose a written sentence or paragraph-and then gives a percentage based on it’s findings. AI detectors don’t track AI, it tracks patterns.
