@the_sacred_lotus: My heart is absolutely broken for the families and everyone affected by yesterday’s devastating school shooting at Silver Rail Elementary in Bend, Oregon. Living here in Central Oregon, this tragedy hits especially close to home. I cannot begin to imagine the heartbreak these families are experiencing. My thoughts are with the families grieving such unimaginable loss, those who were injured, the father who stepped in during such a terrifying moment, the children and teachers who witnessed something no one should ever have to experience, and the first responders who rushed to help. There is no way to comprehend the pain of losing a child or someone you love to such a senseless act of violence. My heart breaks for these families and for all they are being forced to endure. I hope they feel the love and compassion of an entire community standing beside them, holding them close, and supporting them through the unimaginable grief they are facing. Not just today, but in the weeks, months, and years ahead. No family should ever have to carry this kind of heartbreak alone.
