@randomly.enough: I think education is important. We’re all holding the most knowledgeable thing we have in our hand all day long… kids are too.. Childhood Freedom to explore what inspires them is what they should be doing.

We weren’t built to sit still and be quiet for 8 hours a day, and try to memorize what they are teaching. It’s a control tactic to keep us in line for when we become adults.

I understand what you’re saying I felt the same way. I basically hated school and like you I would look out the window in my mind would wander about everything else, but what the teacher was saying but at the same time I think that you’re smarter than you think you are because I ended up traveling to many many different countries and I kind of wanted to learn and I wish that that I had paid attention and that made me actually learn, but I learned things that were more realistic, but along with that, you need the common things to make it move forward.

School was a joke. When I questioned my math teacher about Pi he couldn’t answer the question. I showed him my math. He says your answer is right but I don’t understand your formula. Typing and photography and carpentry sheet metal and wood shop were useful. I am a telecom network and security engineer. On my own!!!

Dropped out 9th grade. Quit mutiple jobs until I didn't. Got tired of the bully bosses. Got my cdl drove for few years locally. Eventually turned my knowledge of construction into a small bis. lic contractor for 10 years self employed almost 20 years work only 6mo out of year. Have most of what I ever wanted.

School was boring and at a young age realized I was different and they weren't teaching me anything. I could ace any test and answer all the questions without effort. I asked questions the teachers couldn't answer and pointed out the hypocrisy as well as the contradictions between truth and curriculum that were glaringly obvious to me. i was expelled the second half of the year and tutored at home for four years in a row. I could have done so much but nobody in my life to include family ever cared enough to feed my intellect. Everything ive ever learned I had to find and explore on my own. I learned a great deal having to rely on myself but I was in a mind state of survival and never had a clear path to choose. Intelligence is a burden for the system that just wants to get you through the cattle chute and off to the factory.

We seem to be in sync!! My youngest son dropped out I couldn’t blame him the strange the weird! Girls wearing cat tails etc! He’s better off!! The social media is a hell for our kids!!! It’s very hard to see positive! My mom was the the most optimistic person but now idk what to do!! Take care you have the gift as they tell me! Doesn’t feel like one!
