@konah619: 💔 HE LOST HIS THREE CHILDREN. NOW, EVERY MILE HE RUNS IS A WAY TO KEEP THEIR MEMORY ALIVE. ❤️‍🩹 Patrick Clancy, a Massachusetts father who endured the unimaginable loss of his three young children, Cora, Dawson, and Callan, completed the 2026 Chicago Marathon in a deeply personal tribute to the little ones he will never forget. On October 11, Patrick took on the grueling 26.2-mile race, finishing in an impressive 3 hours, 35 minutes, and 29 seconds. But this race was about far more than a finishing time. It was about carrying the memory of his children with him, one step at a time. ❤️ His children died in January 2023, when Cora was 5, Dawson was 3, and Callan was just 8 months old. Their deaths devastated the family and drew national attention. During the marathon, Patrick wore keepsakes associated with his children, including a hair bow, a wristband, and a bracelet. These small objects carry a meaning that goes far beyond what anyone can see: reminders of three young lives and the love their father continues to hold for them. This was not his first marathon in their honor. In April 2024, Patrick completed the Boston Marathon while running for Boston Children’s Hospital’s Miles for Miracles team. He raised more than $75,000 to support the hospital, which had cared for Callan. Now, his latest marathon stands as another chapter in a profoundly personal journey through grief, remembrance, and the challenge of finding a way forward after unimaginable loss. Behind every runner is a reason to keep going. Sometimes, that reason is a dream. Sometimes, it is a promise. And sometimes, it is the memory of people who will always be part of your heart. For Patrick, every mile carries the memory of Cora, Dawson, and Callan. ❤️ May Cora, Dawson, and Callan always be remembered. 🕊️ 💬 If you could send Patrick one message of support, what would you say? #PatrickClancy #ChicagoMarathon #BostonChildrensHospital #InLovingMemory #Humanity
