It’s a job mate , it will still be there tomorrow when it’s cooler . Why risk heat stroke for a paycheck. Just blanket rule across the board of 35° tools down.

35 degrees is mild where I am. We have weeks of 40+ weather. It’s not just the tradies, working in the sun. It’s the stores workers that work in a shed with only a fan to cool you down and you’ve got 7 pallets full of stock to put away before the end of the day

Agreed, traffic controllers stand in the sun on a road surface.

Would of been tools down every day in the wet season when I was in Darwin. Regularly got over 50+ degrees in the shed. Mechanics would never get any work done if they had those rules in the NT. we would just push through and get it done and hope we didn’t dehydrate too quickly

take more and regular breaks, start earlier in cooler weather, but its Australia, if you can't or don't want to work in the heat, go get a office job, or one thats not outside

Try working in kfc or McDonald’s with no air con and multiple 180 degree oil cookers. It’s very bad

I’m a scaffy and we call it ourselves at 35, we’re outside 99.9% of the time touching hot steel all day and the steel holds the heat.

I mean they do make them wear long sleeves and pants so 35 makes sense what makes more sense is short sleeves and shorts and 38 is too hot or 40

learn the rules bro. its 35⁰c in the sun and you get moved to a different area 29⁰c and 75% humidity in the shade.

Still believe 35 in an un-airconditioned environment as someone who hates hot weather should be a legal cut off, I’ll work no issue no matter how cold it is but heat sucks

how about when it's over 35, office workers in air conditioning have to give 50% of their wage to the actual workers
