@amadeustalks: how you react to someone else’s emotional distance or reactions needs to be reviewed as well. take accountability. #godlovesyou #111 #enlightenment #avoidantattachmentstyle #avoidant
I agree with the accountability, but I disagree with the title of this video. No human deserves to be discarded. An avoidant discard is simply inhumane. It’s psychological neglect. no person is responsible for an avoidant avoiding the things they fear or dismiss other than the avoidant themselves. placing the blame of a discard on the receiving partner further enables avoidant behavior, quite literally avoiding accountability of their action. The recipient most often had no idea this was coming or was expected. The avoidant makes difficult conversations and talks of repair seem real and cared for and understood. Until one random day everything had been wrong and unfair all along? That choice was theirs and the other partner had no say in their own relationship when they thought they were on the same page the entire time. Both people existed together and one of them cared to try continuously and the other decided somewhere along the way to stop trying without letting the other know even an ounce of what was happening. the reason is themself.

Martin ✞ :
Just setting simple boundaries on an avoidant person is enough to push them away. They're not good with accountability

Mr. Pibb :
I know I'm the reason. I don't tolerate anything less than a healthy relationship, which includes radical honesty, accountability, loyalty, exclusivity, consideration, and communication. I don't tolerate semantics. that's just another way of saying lie.
