Every time I went to a salon with really long hair (down to my hips) and asked for a trim, they would always cut it to my shoulders. They would also aggressively brush my hair in the sink while it was wet, then show me a bunch of hair and claim that this was how damaged my hair was.

exactly! I haven’t stepped foot in a salon after one of the hair dressers cut my hair up to my shoulders when I had it down to my waist when I clearly stated I only wanted to get my ends cut off, now my mom cuts it for me💕🫶🏻

I no longer have long hair, I regret my decisions. My hair was down to my butt and after I get married I got the wild idea to cut my length off. In the two months my hair has grown back almost 3 inches but it started at the top of my shoulder blades. And was mortified of getting my hair cut. I did in fact cry when I seen how short it was (it was cut to the exact length I wanted I instantly regretted it though). In total my mom cut 10 inches of hair that day and I miss my length 😢. Moral of the story unless you KNOW you’re ready to chop your hair off DONT DO IT. Do not be like me and do it on a whim

so true sis I got long hairs like yours but I never go salon. that looks like they get greedy seeing long hairs like how it gonna feel scissoring them 😭😭 so my mom trim my hairs for me and that's truly trimming never chopping 😭

I only trust the hairdresser I go to lol I’ve been going to her for years and she never ever cuts or trims my hair without showing me on my hair how much is coming off . She also doesn’t push me to trim my ends even if I know I might need it lol but once she retires I probably will never go to a salon again 😭

lol Of course, I'd like a part 2:)! I AM curious, though,when, IF, you ever consider cutting it short, what would be the likely conditins under which ou would consider cutting it short? Things like a disablility, aging, going gray, what sort of things would inspire you to t least consider cutting it short? I suspect that your nswers might be rather inspiratinal to those others who hae very long hair:)! One way, or another, thnk you for keep posting and for continuing to GROW your hair longer:)!

oh never will cut my hair... I stopped trimming too but I do have dry and thin wavy hair... I'm doing some but I want my long hair to look thicker like yours! will try to get the same products you have to achieve
