i put the sub in and then just put lexel around the ring. Dries extremely clear and seals great.

you need closed-cell foam weatherstripping. that looks to be open-cell.

it should work i got 8th inch thick closed cell foam roll of amazon and it worked good no air leaks and pretty cheep

I had to use that exact same thing in my 12s and it made it seal so tights, after a little bit I wanted to take em out and it told me and a screw driver and a hammer to get it lit from now tight it got
