Amanda is so good in it because she is the one who finally validates the way that the audience is feeling about billy and finally confronts him and it was so satisfying as someone watching

What we debated for so long was, why did her dad blurt out, that she was SA'd in college? Then didn't elaborate at all. Like, does her dad think that's why she is the way she is? Did she tell him to mention it to agrner sympathy? It felt so out of nowhere.

I feel like someone could argue, sure, she SOMEHOW didn’t understand the nuances of the Who’s on First skit, but I knew she was truly BS’ing us when he asked her if she’s ever lied in her LIFE…and she’s like I don’t know….maybe….maybe not…. and Nathan is like… NEVER ??!!!

She definitely is not innocent herself but Billy is beyond manipulative and scary. I believe he persuaded her to not take a plea deal and go to prison for 11 years AWAY from her children so that he could use her image to sell his product without her having any say in it. Because he believes he's morally superior

I haven’t watched it yet but she lied so much about her tech working at theranos that she literally convinced herself she was telling the truth. So I think she genuinely doesn’t think she did anything wrong because she deluded herself and everyone else so much.

After sleeping on it I really think it’s both—she does genuinely think and communicate in a way that’s unlike most people… but she takes advantage of that to manipulate them.
