Common Tactics Used to Shape Perception: •Fabricating a Paper Trail: Creating a sudden, negative performance history or writing up minor infractions to reframe you as a "problem employee" rather than a whistleblower. • Labeling and Gaslighting: Characterizing your legitimate concerns or pushback as "not a team player," "overly emotional," "confrontational," or "difficult". • Strategic Isolation: Removing you from key email chains, leaving you out of important meetings, or quietly signaling to peers that working with or talking to you is risky. • Spreading Rumors or Controlling the Narrative: Sharing selective, one-sided, or distorted versions of events with upper management or other departments to preemptively discredit your account. • Coercive Control & Undermining: Withholding necessary information or setting you up with unreasonable expectations so that your subsequent struggles validate their negative narrative.
