He protected so many kids, but taking a life can take something from you. It takes your innocence. And even though he did the right thing that I think was a very high price for him. I hope he gets that support therapy that he's gonna need.

As much of a hero as he is, I can only imagine the struggle of not only having killed someone (which is traumatic even when it’s the “right thing to do”) but that someone was also only a teenager himself. He now has to live with that for the rest of his life, and that can be really hard as everyone is (deservedly) praising you. Please make sure he goes to therapy.

He will bear their lives on his shoulders for the rest of his life. Even though they aren't his bear. People always talk about the "good guy with a gun" savoir when we have yet another conversation about gun control laws, but they never stop and consider what that good guy will have to deal with as a consequence of being the hero nobody should ever need.

That man did what he needed to do, but in his mind not only was he not able stop something he SHOULD NEVER HAVE TO STOP, he is also coming to terms that he 🔫 a kid as well. Regardless if he saved lives that is then difference between him and the 🔫er, he didn’t want to have to do that
