One of the best pieces of advice I ever received was simply, "follow your heart." This advice was followed up with “just write something, just start.” Following your heart makes your goals more important than external worries or pressures, and this makes getting started so much easier. Following your heart in this context is referring to your intuition. While it might seem abstract, intuition has a neurological basis. Our brains are constantly processing information, often subconsciously. When we feel drawn to something, it's because our brains have already recognised patterns and potential connections that our conscious minds haven't yet grasped. The act of "just starting" is crucial because it bridges the gap between intuition and action. When we take that first step, we're not just initiating a task; we're signalling to our brains that we're serious about exploring a particular path. This activates the reward system, releasing dopamine and reinforcing the behaviour. It's telling your brain it is worth pursuing! Make it easier on yourself by starting small - this will reduce the fear and anxiety associated with big, daunting goals. When we're less stressed, our brains are more open to creative problem-solving and intuitive insights. 🎥: Taken from episode 623 of On Purpose with @Jay Shetty - Dr. Tara Swart: 4 Brain Hacks To Manifest Anything Into Your Life (Science-Backed Method!) . . .#Intuition #Neuroscience #Neuroscientist #PersonalDevelopment #Motivation
