it’s not about preference, it’s about coming online to insult and disrespect natural hair by calling it unmanageable and all other kinds of thing ppl say. everyone should wear their hair how they want, but the unprovoked disrespect is out of hand. very similar to black men preferring white women (which is fine), but coming on line to bash black women in the name of preference.

For me it’s not even about it being manageable. My hair is extremely fine so wearing my hair straight helps me retain length and volume.

I’m leaning towards being a straight natural. I’m cutting mine shoulder length after I take my braids out, then I’m staying straight. I love my curls. They are gorgeous, but it’s sooo high-maintenance.
