I cook with vibes and random things I’ve read or seen on the internet. There are no recipes. Sometimes it’s good. Sometimes is mediocre. The only consistent thing is that I won’t remember how I made it.

One of the best briskets I made. I was drunk. Playing cornhole. Heat went from 225 to 180 to 450 and then steadied at 250. Came out beautiful. I don’t remember any seasons and definitely couldn’t recreate what happened. 🤣

😂😂 everyone in our family calls me chef because im a pretty good cook but the same dish never tastes the same twice all the recipes I have are from memory cooking with my grandmother as a kid. its always good just always a little different.

I understand that totally, I just invent what I am making as I make it, most of the time it is at least decent but when its really good I dont know and didnt measure anything so repeat of it will be a hit or miss situation at best.

For my more regular cooks I started actually writing down the recipes....*however* my greatest work is usually in the midst of a heavy amount of alcohol... few weeks ago I made *3* different kinds of salsa as well as enchilada sauce while cooking a Mexican style pork butt and I have almost zero idea how I made them...

This is why I told myself I would actually log the things I make, ingredients used, etc and then properly add it to a recipe book if it came out good… haven’t done it yet 😂
