This would be extremely irritating. About equally irritating with say, filling out a 3 page questionnaire form at every single visit, Just to be asked word for word the exact same questions by a nurse 30 seconds later.

I’m a paramedic and I get this a lot. “The hospital has all my records” that’s wonderful news my friend but I unfortunately do not work for them nor do I have access to their systems so can you please let me know if you are allergic to anything

In between all of the patients with 10 problems every 15 minutes, messages, refills, labs, and radiology we deal with during the day. Yes, we do have your records and will likely read them at home on the weekend which is the only time we have. We assume you can give us a brief overview of them until then.

If you aren't reading the patients chart you aren't doing your job, and there's really no excuse. Our Healthcare system is a joke, because doctors and nurses would rather be lazy instead of doing their due diligence. If you can't do the bare basics of your job, you don't need to be in the medical field. We aren't asking you to fully front to back immerse yourself in our charts, but glancing over it for a quick rundown of the patient before coming to see us is indeed the BARE MINIMUM 👏

Just broke my femur and had surgery last month the amount of times I was asked the same question was actually insane. that simple question is annoying after hearing it for the 15th time from a different nurse every shift. Just do your job.
