@matchaaa.025: I have always been someone who keeps all to herself. I never find it easy to talk about the things that are upsetting me because I have always been used to sorting out my own problems. Even when I laugh, make jokes and act as if everything is all right, I am quietly carrying on battles that no one else knows about. Recently, though, I've been so tired—tired of overthinking, tired of putting on a front, tired of holding onto feelings that I don't know how to describe. On top of all this, feeling heartbroken has only made it more difficult. I had tried to be strong, but this time I wasn't able to do so and finally broke down in front of my Omma and Oppa, letting out all the pain I had been keeping in. I cried in front of them and they held me, kissed me and told me that I could get through it. At that moment I understood that there are times when we grow so frightened of being a burden to others that we end up forgetting that we also deserve to be comforted. We spend so much time trying to show that we are strong that we never realize how much we need someone to tell us it's all right to be tired. I am so fortunate to have parents who don't expect me to have all the answers, who encourage me to improve, and who remind me of my value when I am having difficulty seeing it myself. Even though I might have been seeking love in someone who eventually ended up hurting me, I was never really without love. I have my Omma and Oppa, and the love they show me reminds me that even when my heart is broken there are still people who can support me when I am unable to do so myself. It's possible that healing will take a long time and that I'll still have days when everything aches, but at least I know I don't have to feign being all right all the time. Sometimes all I need is to go home, cry in my parents' arms and remember that I am still loved. No matter how old I get, I will always be their little girl.
