there is a better and cheaper alternative. check out Kiara Nirghin, not sure if anyone is mass producing it yet but it's definitely one to look into. Kiara Nirghin, who won the Google Science Fair Community Impact Award for developing a low-cost, eco-friendly "supermaterial" out of orange peels and avocado skins.

it doesn't work as the granules stuck moisture out the ground leaving nothing for the plants
