@ebeebiebby: The new Street Fighter movie is getting criticised for having a terrible storyline. But I have a question. Does anyone actually watch Street Fighter for the story? Because if you grew up playing the games, you'll remember Ryu, Ken, Chun-Li and M. Bison. The fighting moves. The costumes. The special attacks. And that ridiculous bonus stage where you destroy a car! Well, the new Street Fighter movie has apparently recreated all of that. Noah Centineo plays Ken Masters. Andrew Koji plays Ryu. Callina Liang plays Chun-Li. And the actors say they worked extremely hard to make the characters look and move like their video game counterparts. Callina Liang even says she ate 12 eggs a day while preparing for the role. Twelve eggs! She was consuming around 4,000 calories and training to achieve Chun-Li's powerful appearance. But critics have complained about the confusing storyline. The Guardian was particularly unimpressed, although it praised the fighting. IGN also praised the film's style before criticising how the story develops. Meanwhile, some fans argue that the movie captures exactly what makes Street Fighter entertaining. And I think that's an interesting disagreement. Because Street Fighter has always been colourful, exaggerated and completely ridiculous. So should we judge a video game adaptation by normal movie standards? Or should a Street Fighter movie simply deliver the characters, moves and nostalgia that fans want? #StreetFighter #ChunLi #Ryu #Ryu #kenmasters
