My 7 year old is level two. Yesterday while grocery shopping she sees an old lady and says "I just love that old lady, I just love everyone mom" the thought that someone would intentionally target her based off her vulnerability is heart breaking. She doesn't understand that there are cruel people in the world 😭 my heart breaks for these families

My kids, nor I will ever be the same. The sounds my 10 year old son had to hear.. classmates screaming, begging for their lives..his classmates saw the shooter run into the school. They huddled together and prayed for their lives, their siblings lives. I also had my 6 year old daughter there. I’m thankful she is mostly unaware of what happened thank you Jesus. I’ll never forget running to the school weak in my knees

I’m pregnant rn and I’m even scared for my baby to go out in the world like this I’m forever choosing homeschool home is the safest place I’ll forever keep my kids at ofc I’ll let them play outside like recess snacks n food like lunch or breakfast that’s what we are supposed to do anyways as a parent even as a lil teacher for them

I’m actually so heartbroken… I work in my job work with people with all sorts of disabilities like autisim, cerebral palsy, Down syndrome, and more outside of Portland. They are truly so misunderstood by majority of the world and want love, kindness, and a normal daily schedule just like you and I they just communicate it in their own way. That is all those kids wanted. And that monster ruined it for them. I’ve been sick to my stomach for days and have been so worried even taking them out to do daily activities. How can one have so much hatred.

My daughter is 3 and in ECSE, & this hit me like a ton of bricks. She needed the socialization as an only child and only grandchild on both sides but my lord this made me want to withdraw her so fast. My baby is too young, she wouldn’t even understand what’s going on and she doesn’t always follow directions. I’m so worried for the rest of her school years. I hate this for all parents, blindly sending our babies into these schools when such evil exists.

As a special needs mom, I honestly feel like he went looking for his old special needs teacher. Maybe he was abused or treated poorly in that room when he attended. Not an excuse at all. Makes me sick to my stomach. Also, makes me glad i pulled my daughter 3 years ago to homeschool.
