@flatburgersflatbuns: 📍 go shen bakery please trust me on this.. as a self-proclaimed bread connoisseur, this neighbourhood bakery LEGIT needs more attention!! 🥹🍞 the ladyboss freshly bakes her breads every morning, and there’s already such a huge variety available whenever i drop by around 8am 🌅 so much effort, sweat and heart go into every single bread and cake, and i really hope more people can discover and appreciate her bakes 🫶🏻 i visit her bakery EVERY WEEK, and my must-get is always her mix nut bun 🌰 loaded with walnuts, oats, pumpkin seeds and all that good & nutritious stuff! the texture is amazing, with a soft and fluffy bread contrasted against the crunch of the nuts and seeds. the flavour is mild yet wonderfully nutty and aromatic, with the natural richness of the grains shining through 🤤 the polo charsiew bun is my sister’s absolute fav <3 especially when it’s freshly baked, i literally have to carry it home like a delicate lil baby 👶🏻 cuz the insides are still warm and moist, and the bread is SO soft that it practically falls apart 🥹 the sweet and crispy cookie crust paired with the savoury, tender charsiew filling is truly a feast for your tastebuds 👅 that sweet-savoury combination is just HEAVENLY!! you really can’t go wrong with her other classics either, from tuna and hei bi hiam to curry and otah buns! these are the nostalgic local flavours that we all grew up loving, and there’s just something so comforting about a good old-school neighbourhood bakery 🥰 pleaseee give her bakes a try if you’re in the area!! 🥹❤️ SUPPORT LOCAL 😃😃😃 #sgfood #sgfoodie #sgfoodies #sgbakery #supportlocal
