It would have been such a power move if you had just agreed and then waited 6-12 months and told him they made a new one because you started a petition based on his complaints. It would depend on a lot of patience to a level almost no one has and your dad not finding out about the movie in the mean time but it would have been awesome 😎

this happened with my sister last time. she missed far from home and didn't realize it until we were sitting in the theater and the mentioned that everyone knew he was spider man. i had even asked her if she'd seen it when we bought tickets, and she said "of course!"

i went to watch bnd with a few friends, one of them has never seen no way home and made it clear to us. when may's grave came up he went "wait what" and I said "Oh Yeah. So, she died" and for some reason that made the both of us start laughing
