XP Pen ARTIST PRO 27 GEN 2: Review - @xppen generously let me try out their NEW Artist Pro 27 GEN 2 display tablet along with their ERGO Stand (sold separately). THE DISPLAY: Like all Gen 2 displays the quality is very high. The materials feels sturdier and sleeker compared to previous generations. It also has stylus holders at the top of display making it convenient to store them compared to the traditional dock. It was simple to set up, plug in power and USB C, download drivers, restart cpu and go. The colours are incredibly vibrant and accurate which makes viewing your art and videos a great experience. The matte texture screen is enjoyable to draw on as the pen and hand would glide with no resistance. The display is also 4K giving a crisp image along the high refresh rate, panning your art feels extremely smooth. The screen has touch abilities but I still prefer using keyboard shortcuts. The product also comes with a keypad which you can customise. THE STYLUS: With Gen 2s, XP Pen offer you 2 styli. It comes with the standard stylus as well as the slim stylus. The physical designs, similarly to the display is sturdy and less tacky than past models. I found drawing with the standard one was more comfortable however when I need to write or take notes the slim felt more natural. Both have good pressure and tilt sensitivity. ERGO STAND: The stand is heavy duty and holds the large display comfortably. You can rotate the screen and it locks once you reach 90 degrees each side. One issue it the screen unintentionally tilts when you’re drawing towards the edges.
