Kamala Harris is reportedly considering another presidential run in 2028, and honestly, Democrats should think very carefully before making that decision. After the 2024 election defeat, the party has an opportunity to regroup, rebuild trust with voters, and find a candidate who can unite its different factions. Repeating the same strategy without seriously examining what went wrong could be a costly mistake. Harris has already made history, but name recognition alone does not guarantee electoral success. Democrats need a candidate who can connect with independent voters, appeal to working families, and give people a compelling reason to believe in the party's future. There is also a real concern about division within the party. If multiple candidates compete for the same voters, the primary could become bitter and leave Democrats fractured heading into the general election. Whether Harris runs or not, the party needs a serious conversation about its direction and priorities. As of now, Harris has publicly said she is considering a 2028 run but has not made a final decision. Democrats cannot afford to choose a candidate simply because they are familiar. They need to consider electability, leadership, policy, and the ability to bring people together. **The question is not just who wants to run. It is who can actually win—and unite the party in the process.**
