@aachalus11: Why it matters who you marry, especially when you become a mother. 💔 A woman goes through so much to bring a child into this world. Her body changes, her hormones fluctuate, her sleep disappears, and her whole world revolves around a tiny human being. In the middle of all this, she is also trying to find herself again. And all she hopes for is a little love, understanding, and support from the person she chose to spend her life with. But imagine taking care of the baby all day, managing the household with an exhausted body, waiting for your husband to come home, only to find him busy on his phone, always outside, coming home late, or getting irritated when you try to share what is hurting you. Imagine having a husband but feeling like a single mother. Having someone to share a home with, but no one to share your pain with. Sometimes, she doesn’t need advice. She doesn’t need money or expensive gifts. She just needs him to notice that she is tired. To take the baby from her arms and say, “You rest, I’ve got this.” To listen when she speaks instead of making her feel guilty for having emotions. She is not always angry. Sometimes, she is exhausted from asking for the bare minimum. She is not trying to create arguments. Sometimes, she is desperately trying to make her husband understand that she needs him, too. And the most heartbreaking part? After being unheard so many times, she may eventually stop explaining, stop asking, and stop expecting. Not because everything is okay, but because she no longer has the energy to explain her pain to someone who refuses to understand it. Dear men, your wife is not just the mother of your child. She is still the woman who needs love, affection, reassurance, and companionship. She may be strong enough to handle everything, but that doesn’t mean she should have to. Your child needs a present father, and your wife needs a present partner. Parenthood is not a responsibility that belongs to a mother alone. A home is not built by one exhausted woman doing everything while the other person lives as if nothing has changed. One day, your child will grow up. The sleepless nights will pass, the little hands will no longer cling to you, and this difficult season will become a memory. But the way you treated your wife when she was at her most vulnerable will leave a mark on her heart. Choose your life partner wisely. Because after childbirth, a woman doesn’t just need a husband who comes home. She needs a husband who makes home feel like a safe place to fall apart, heal, and feel loved💌🫶🏻 #motherhoodunfiltered #MentalHealth #marriagematters #bepresent #husband

Have you talked with him about what you need and how you’d like him to share in parenting? I understand that you may feel he should have stepped up without being asked. But if he grew up seeing the men around him less involved, he might not realise what you’re expecting. I’m not saying that to excuse him—an honest conversation could help him understand and make a real difference.

Why don’t you politely give him a job when he is home? just start with something simple like making bed, cleaning room and later on ask him to do some dishes or take care of the kid… don’t make him to do multiple jobs on same day, just 1 or 2 jobs a day… this will make him a habit eventually… i hope this helps🙏

I can relate to this- the difficulty when the baby is not going to sleep yet you are so tired and kati kura baki cha.... I can feel this both in me and my wife... so we are in it together - yes, we are tired, yes the room is a mess - but we are in together. I tried from the beginning to be "hands on" with my baby- feeding, nappies, changing, burping, everything I could- and tei vayera matra hola I can sort of understand what my wife (more so my baby's mum) goes through and I try to help as much as possible!
