I stopped complaining about those when I witnessed an actual blind person navigating the busy subway station with those my first time in Japan.. I was amazed and finally realized how it worked

I just gave my suitcase a little push with my foot or knee to go over those. The faster you go the easier it is also.

The OP is not hating on people with disabilities who need them. I just got back from Japan and can agree attempting to roll luggage over these sucks. That is not to say I blame the disabled for them or think they shouldn't be there. It's just a funny little observation to laugh about.

im glad japan are considerate for those with disabilities. But those almost took me out at Haneda Airport when I was rushing to get to my taxi 🤣🤣
