Bjs55 :

The turnpike was supposed to be a toll road for a limited time.

Max :

Honestly every state should regulate alcohol the way PA does; it is insane we let private for profit companies sell poison

Billy_Sorokin :

Only good thing is most bottles are msrp in PA.

wenzel42 :

Do people call it’s the st Patrick’s day flood? I have only ever heard it referred as the Johnstown flood

CVS receipt :

Some more fun facts - most people in PA get liquor from Fine Wine & Spirits which is a government run chain store. Many of their employees are eligible for a state pension upon retirement, along with social security. In poorer PA counties, working at a liquor store is very competitive and is seen as a decent job

trev :

And why Delware liquor stores are SEPA’s best friend

John Holowich :

NC also controls all liquor (not beer and wine) sales through state run ABC (alcoholic beverage control) stores. So not just UT and PA.

JP :

Johnstown Flood tax.

Are you also aware that the state liquor stores lose money every year due to the state employee pension plan that costs more annually than they make. Yet they keep these places open.

Wayne R Lehr SR :

PA A Backwards State, Will fight to the Death for the Status Quo even it it kills them!😳

Khaos Strife :

Look into the ‘scam’ that was ongoing during the pandemic in PA in regards to the alcohol ‘lottery’ that limited sales to those who were ‘friends’ of the governor .
