In October 2025, 32-year-old British music tutor Sonia Exelby traveled to Florida after nearly two years of online conversations with a man she had met through a fetish website. Investigators say Sonia believed he would act on disturbing requests they had discussed, and she reportedly agreed to pay him about $4,000 before traveling to the United States. Once in Florida, Sonia stayed at a secluded Airbnb with Dwain Hall. When she failed to return home on her scheduled flight, her worried family reported her missing. On October 17, authorities found Sonia buried in a shallow grave in a wooded area of Marion County. Her death was later ruled a homicide. Investigators say the case involves extensive digital and physical evidence, including messages, financial records, GPS and cellphone data, surveillance footage, and other evidence recovered during the investigation. Prosecutors allege Hall killed Sonia and attempted to cover up the crime. Hall has denied the allegations, pleaded not guilty, and remains held without bond as he awaits trial. Those who knew Sonia remember her as much more than the circumstances surrounding her death. She was a gifted musician, a compassionate vegan who cared deeply for animals, and a gentle person who had privately faced significant mental health struggles over the years. #truecrime #crime #disturbing #analoghorror #florida Source: @deadvoid.est
