@hermione_john: Don’t get me wrong, Adelaide is only 4 months old so I’m fully aware it could get harder 😂 but honestly, I’ve not really struggled with the newborn stage or the baby stage so far. I know every baby is different and I can imagine it’s a completely different experience if your baby has colic, reflux or struggles with sleep, so I’m definitely not saying motherhood is easy for everyone! But all I ever see on social media is mums saying “it’s okay to admit motherhood is hard” and whilst I completely agree, I feel like there’s almost an expectation that we have to find it hard? 😅 Sometimes I feel like I have to pretend I’m struggling just to fit in, when the reality is that motherhood has been so much easier than everyone told me it would be. Obviously it has its moments, but overall I’ve genuinely loved it and haven’t found it as difficult as I expected. Surely I can’t be the only one who feels like this? 👀🤍 #MotherhoodUnfiltered #FirstTimeMum #NewMumLife #HonestMotherhood #MumTokUK
This is such an important perspective! Every baby has a different temperament, so two moms can have completely different newborn experiences. Finding it easier than expected doesn't make your experience any less valid.
