@lost.states: In 2017, two million Catalans voted to leave Spain — and the same day their new country was declared, Madrid took control. 🇪🇸 Two million voters, all of Spain, or the court — who's right? 👇 #History #maps #catalonia #barcelona #spain
Always stand with Catalonia free Catalonia free Kurdistan✌️✌️

20% of Catalonia’s residents voted for independence, while 80% voted against it. This is ridiculous.😉

Catalonia is deeply integrated into both the Spanish economy and the EU single market. Leaving Spain would likely mean leaving the EU as well, at least initially, creating significant trade barriers.
Without an agreement guaranteeing continued access to the EU single market, tariffs, customs costs and other trade-related expenses could increase significantly. Tourism and foreign investment could also suffer.
The fact that Catalonia currently has a large GDP and generates substantial tourism revenue does not mean it would maintain the same economic performance after independence. Those figures reflect its current position within Spain and the EU, with access to their markets and infrastructure.
Catalonia already faces unemployment challenges. Economic disruption, companies relocating and reduced investment could push unemployment even higher. Independence would not automatically preserve the economic benefits Catalonia enjoys today.

Catalonia and Aragon have been part of Spain for over 400 years since their king married a Castilian queen. Catalans have always identified themselves as Spaniards until recently. If you listen to these independantistas, you'd think that they've been fighting for independence for centuries.

yet Spain accused Morocco of expansionism yet they colonized half of the Moroccan cost and colonized Cataluña and many more.
they criticized Britain for colonizing Gibraltar yet they're colonizing all of north Africa.
