@magicallyladylexi: We live right near a spooky restaurant, Abigail’s Grille and Wine Bar! According to local folklore, the restaurant is haunted by the spirit of Mrs. Abigail Pettibone, who was allegedly murdered with an axe by her whaling captain husband after he returned home and discovered her with another man. A portrait of Abigail hangs near the front reception desk. 👻 The colonial-era structure was built in 1780 as the Pettibone Tavern, serving as a stagecoach stop on the Boston-to-Albany Turnpike. Many war soldiers spent their time there, and it’s highly likely both of our first two presidents stayed there during their travels between Boston, New York, and Philadelphia. 🩶 I actually haven’t been inside yet, but I definitely will be dining here, because I hear the food is amazing, and trying to see if I encounter any spooks!
