This sounds horrible, and if he killed her he needs to go away forever. That said, the idea that a person can’t break up with someone else bc they might kill themselves is emotional abuse no matter which gender.

I really wonder with all of this going on for a year(ish), how much of a role that played into how things played out with the death of John O'Keefe. Cops and friends were under some pressure and I'm sure there were rumors about all sorts of things

I love that they define it as aggravated with a mandatory reporter, rather than a defined position of authority. Whether or not somebody is a mandatory reporter just leaves nothing to interpretation. You either are or not, and that’s not up to the judgment of the person observing the relationship.

I was told what comes out in the trial was going to be horrific. I wasn’t prepared for just how much. The amount of respect I have for the Chief for getting the ball rolling for justice is very high.
