My mother lives down in that area near Tampa. With the aging population down there dying, a lot of their furniture that dates to the mid-century can be found for a deal. Their thrift stores in general are good because after people pass away, their family just wants to get rid of their "old" stuff.

Given the age and scarcity of the sofa, that was a steal! Honestly, I was expecting you to say $10k.
