What the hell have we allowed this community to become? For months, Eve endured harassment, verbal abuse and death threats. And now we're supposed to carry on like normal? Keep playing tournaments, handing out titles, celebrating achievements and giving people platforms as though nothing happened? Talent does not excuse cruelty. Being a top player does not make you untouchable. And representing your country means absolutely nothing if you cannot treat another human being with basic decency. I'm angry. I'm heartbroken. And I'm disgusted that we've reached a point where we're having this conversation after losing someone. How many times have we dismissed harassment as drama? How many times have we stayed quiet because the people involved are popular, talented or influential? When does it become enough? We cannot bring Eve back. But we can stop protecting reputations at the expense of accountability. We can stop normalising abuse. And we can stop pretending that what happens behind a screen doesn't have real-world consequences. If we continue as though nothing happened, then we have learned absolutely nothing.
