For everyone saying it’s not fair to Birdie for Nick and Ally to visit her because it’s confusing and she loves them too much, maybe reframe it and say they are teaching her that they are not abandoning her. They chose her forever home in a location that they could easily visit her when they’re passing through California. It’s not too far from Baja so they fully intend to keep visiting her.

Two things can be true at once, Birdie can miss you and want to stay with you forever but also be perfectly happy where she is at. It was a hard choice you had to make overall that was best for her! It doesn’t take the love away that is mutual between you. The fact that you still visit her is beautiful. You changed her life and she will never forget that no matter where she goes. 🫶✨

These comments criticizing you two really bother me. You guys are angels for everything you do and all the dogs you rescue. Birdie is living an amazing life with a fantastic new mom and tons of fun siblings. She will always love you and remember you guys as being her rescuers, and the ones who showed her unconditional love. You never gave up on her and she’s living her best life now. There are so many dogs out there that need help and you guys have a mission you’re dedicated to. I have so much respect for you.

This is the same exact way my dogs act when my parents come to visit. It doesn’t mean they need to go home with them. Are they heartbroken when my mom and dad leave? Sure, but they always come back and then we do it all over again. Dogs can love their people and still be comfortable in their homes with their owners. Birdie can have both and still be a happy dog.
