@exposrapp: ⚠️Scanned on Exposr ⚠️ Starbucks' just tested positive for three volatile organic compounds — methylene chloride, benzene, and toluene. Independent testing commissioned by the law firm Hagens Berman found methylene chloride at 22 parts per billion. The EPA deems methylene chloride unsafe for consumption at any level. It's the same chemical used in paint strippers and industrial degreasers. Benzene is a Group 1 human carcinogen. Toluene is a neurotoxin used in adhesives. All three were found in coffee labelled "100% Arabica." A class-action lawsuit was filed in January 2026. Starbucks never disclosed the chemicals to consumers. People who choose decaf often do so for health reasons — pregnancy, heart conditions, caffeine sensitivity. They're drinking paint stripper residue.
