Honestly for that time period and how information cycled supporting the USSR was pretty reasonable as it did oppose western imperialism and influence workers rights across the world while also influencing revolutions that resulted in better workers rights and even better government systems overall. Tho Marxist-leninist based economic systems and governance was very flawed as it was mixed market unionism with a vanguard party which is still better then the western oligarchy "democratic" model for the most part. Tho Marxist-leninist regimes would only revert to traditional capitalism which Mikhail Bakunin would speak about the previous century. Certainly Marxist-leninist states during the 1900s deserve some praise but ultimately failed to escape capitalism
