@hey.itsraegan: Things I’d tell my freshly postpartum self, 8 months later 🤍 1. The newborn stage isn’t necessarily the hardest stage. Everyone tells you to survive the first few months, but the challenges don’t just disappear. They change. Some things get easier, and other things get harder. 2. Your business can wait. You’ve spent years building something of your own, and it’s hard to step away from it. But you don’t have to jump right back into being the person who could work nonstop. Your priorities are allowed to change. 3. Take the pictures. All of them. Even the blurry ones, middle of the night feedings, the ones where you don’t feel your best. You don’t realize how much changes until you’re looking back at a video from just a few months ago. 4. Stop stressing so much about milestones. Every baby develops at their own pace. It’s okay to pay attention and ask questions, but don’t let comparing your baby to everyone else’s steal the excitement of watching him grow. 5. You’re allowed to want more than one thing. You can love staying home with your baby and still miss working, having goals, making money, and having something that’s just yours. 6. Don’t rush to figure out your new normal. Your schedule, your relationship, your career, and even your idea of a productive day are going to look different. Give yourself time to figure out what works. 7. You don’t have to have everything figured out to be a good mom. Eight months later, you’re still learning something new almost every day. And you probably always will be. #mom #MomsofTikTok #momtok
