100% right. I had a w205 c300. It was definitely a nice place to be everyday. Comfortable well thought out. But everything felt like it was 15% less that what a Mercedes should feel like. Lots of plastic shoved and clipped together that creaked amd squeeked a lot. To me. This generation of mercedes is the beginning of the end for them. The 2019-2023 era

That wood is ugly. Shiny wood looks dated. They an updated wood that’s not shiny and they can make it more modern looking. That particular wood is 90’s looking

The w213 is mechanically strong but it just doesn’t have that leaded feel of the w210

The w212 is way better than the 213, it’s much better for comparison to the w210. I’ll also say, the w204 is a pretty good modern counterpart to this.

This is the best gen of E-Class, stock isn't cheap and the door handle is on the right spot. However some materials are cheaper than in w212 and w211. I personally miss leather ir some kind of soft fabric on the sides of the doors

W213 analog gauges are so beautiful. at my summer job there was an E400 Coupe, which is already pretty rare here, but it was blue with amg line, beige leather, wood trim, sunroof, burmester, ventilated drivers seat and the analog gauges. probably the rarest spec benz ive seen.
