@dld83377: Luke Grimes Says Kayce and Andrea’s Relationship in Marshals Is a “Jim and Pam Situation” Luke Grimes thinks Marshals may have TV’s next big will-they-won’t-they. The actor told PEOPLE that Kayce Dutton’s bond with Andrea Cruz, played by Ash Santos, “has become one of those will they, won’t they kind of a thing.” He added, “It’s almost a Jim and Pam sort of situation,” referring to the couple on The Office. Andrea was wary of Kayce at first, largely because of the Dutton family’s legacy. As season 1 went on, the two found they had more in common, and their walls slowly came down. In the season 2 premiere, Andrea says her final goodbye to Kayce before moving to Washington, D.C. She also visits him at East Camp. Grimes says he doesn’t know if the two will get together. “The end of that is not written yet,” he said. Season 2 is still in production. But he has a hope for his character. “I do know I’d like Kayce to be happy at some point,” Grimes said. “I think [Andrea] would be a really good option for him.” Show creator Spencer Hudnut said they are “definitely a slower burn” than Belle and Cal. He said the two will “grow closer” in the first part of season 2. Hudnut said a romance depends on where the characters are emotionally. He added that Kayce “obviously has a lot of red flags.” New episodes air Sundays at 9 p.m. ET on CBS.
